Slay Unapologetically Topic 2: Are My stretch marks beautiful? ✨💛🐯
Topic 3 : Stretch Marks So , what are Stretch Marks ? Well according to The ‘dictionary ‘ on Google , Stretch Marks are : “Irregular lines or streaks on the skin where it has been stretched or distended, especially due to pregnancy or obesity. “ … 😂😂 Lol , In my opinion that is absolutely rubbish as I know teenagers my age , who 1 AREN’T Obese AND 2 )Have NOT been pregnant! In my opinion , We ALL live in a generation where the media has a Specific idea of ‘Beauty’ and because they don’t acknowledge NATURAL things such as stretch marks , It’s seen as something ‘negative’ when really , Stretch marks are ABSOLUTELY STUNNING ✨✨ and are a part of someone’s story , whether they got them just naturally , due to pregnancy or due to loosing or gaining weight . Hence I disagree with the dictionary version as IT DOESN’T matter WHAT SIZE YOU ARE , whether you’re more on the slim or thick side ; You can develop Stretch Marks . I agree that it’s something that we should Embrace and not feel ashamed of 🏆👏🏽🥳
I did a mini interview with one ☝️ of my many kind Male followers who voiced his opinion as a boy ,as I also feel like we should get Males in on the topic of #stretchmarks , as MEN can also have them. But I bet the Media doesn’t teach you that 😉 💕😄💫 Did you know that Bodybuilders are prone to getting stretch marks because of the rapid body changes that can go with bodybuilding. “ Stretch marks develop when tremendous growth happen in a short period of time. They’re a source of pride, embrace them.” Stretch marks are natural and special . ✨💝🌷🌹🥀#stretchmarksarebeautiful

Slay Unapologetically Topic 4: Hair Discrimination 💁🏽♀️
Topic 4 of #Slayunapologetically : Hair discrimination
Everyone should have the choice to wear what ever hairstyle we Want and Have the freedom to change it how Often we want . Restrictive ideals from the social norms and media have left people especially black women in compromising conditions for acceptance, whether that’s getting ahead professionally at the work place or fitting in social environments such as school .
I remember once I wore cornrows to school and a group of boys mocked me just because of my hairstyle . Before seeing Kim k In the exact same hairstyle 😳then thinking it was ‘cool’ as soon as a lighter coloured female wore the same hairstyle . However, I’ve grown to not care about what people say . I am Me , I am part of my culture and my Race ❤️ The media doesn’t focus on when other races wear extensions so why are black women in particular discriminated for it , because it’s not as close to our natural texture ? Does it really matter ? Does the media highlight how many scrutiny people go through Just Because of Hair ?!! And it’s not just about discrimination against textures hair , but people who choose to wear their hair low . An example of this is one of my beautiful friends @llehlani , I admire how she doesn’t allow hair to define her . There are so many ways to look at hair and how it makes up identity, femininity, and individuality. How do you define your hair?
In addition, I don’t agree with how the media mostly portrays ‘A certain Standard of the “beauty” of the natural hair world” Most of the times , the media portrays you as a pretty natural if you have a fairer skin colour with looser curls . What about my 4c girls?! . And my 4a , 4b We are equally beautiful. Girls my underlying message is Wear your Hair HOW EVER you want to wear it . Be Yourself , it’s part of your individuality ❤️💖✨💕 artwork by @yasguurl

Slay Unapologetically with Stantara Topic 5: Mental Health – in appreciation of #WorldMentalHealthDay

Topic 5 on #SlayunapologeticallywithStantara : #MentalHealth 🧠💓🏆, Mental Health is a topic that is very important. I feel that as a teen of the younger generation, living in a virtual technology world with #socialmedia etc can be difficult. One of the many problems of social media is comparison and of how that can affect your mental health. There’s so many other things that can affect you: Toxic friendships, Work, Bullying, self confidence etc and I want you guys to understand that many of us express our emotions of how we feel in different ways. Someone may cry to express, whilst others may smile and Still feel the same emotion. I’m not going to lie, I’m learning a lot more about mental health and the importance of spreading awareness. I’ve openly expressed how negative my mental health was affected during exam period…it was hard ! The constant questioning if I did well, Stress acne started to appear on my chin etc . Thank God that I feel better now, but feeling humble after that experience made me think of those who constantly feel like this. People who suffer from Depression, anxiety etc. As a teen who has interest in helping others to learn how to be self confident, I use my platform to Inspire, empower and educate. I play the role which I feel I should play in empowering others. Lack of Self confidence and Self Love 💓 is one of the triggers for affected mental health, so I believe that my values in empowering others on my platforms helps to reduce this. Yes, We all have our days. I’m not Perfect, I’m not happy all the time 😂🤣 but I think it’s important to realise our emotions and figure out What happened, Why you feel that emotion and most importantly How you can fix or ‘improve’ that situation that’s affecting your mental health 💖 Here are some ways in which you can help people struggling with mental health and in regards to your Own mental health well really depends on what YOU enjoy doing. For me, whenever I feel down, I pray. Because I know that the pain is temporary. Overall guys, know that You are loved ✨💖 and if you want to message me about Anything feel free. It’s about sharing, growing and healing . Love you lots xx #WorldMentalHealthDay
